Hi! Iām Molly. I am a ceramic artist, teacher, mother, potter and painter. I live in San Diego, California where I work in a small home studio. I love making artwork that is special - I create pieces that are unique, funky and have a touch of magic.
Before I had a home studio, I was a public school Art and Ceramics teacher, where I loved to teach students to create new things and help them discover their individual artistic voice. After I became a mom, I decided to take leave from teaching to focus on family, and working as an independent artist.
Most of my work centers around making pots and vases for plants. I also paint flowers, and portraits of women. Being present and enjoying the creative process is really important to me. I spend a lot of time with each of my pieces- they are fully infused with joy as making art fulfills my spirit. Creativity is part of my souls purpose!
In addition to making ceramics and paintings, I offer one on one sessions that are individually tailored to you, your studio space, and specific style of work. I teach local workshops for anyone wanting to explore their creativity, experience creative mindfulness and make something functional out of clay. I am passionate about helping others begin, and expand their clay journey.
In my free moments, you will usually find me enjoying a coffee, running, sewing, or reading. Please say hello, I'd love to hear from you.
